Getting started

In 1979 I started in the masonry trade and became a mason, then became foreman for five years for a construction company. Then I worked four years as a union iron worker. Later, I became a foreman for a large concrete contractor. My construction background started from beginning as a laborer, then mason, progressing to finisher, onto foreman, and finally a superintendent.

After years in the industry and gaining a wealth of knowledge, experience and ambition, I discovered that I had much bigger aspirations. In 1990 I the became owner of my own company All Phase Concrete. I also had a desire and a passion to develop land. While managing my company, I designed, developed and built eight custom homes in the county-side of a gated community in Northern California.

A family business

Around 2009, everyone was facing the challenges of the recession. We had to start thinking outside the box and reinvent our company to get the phone ringing again. My wife Nicky took over the marketing for All Phase Concrete. She started by ironing our logo onto T-shirts for our crew to wear on the jobs. Additionally, she drew up introduction letters to advertise our services, which she mailed to building contractors, architects, and homeowners.

My stepson Nick soon joined the company as well. He worked in the field as a laborer and then as a journeyman, and he also contributed by making phone calls to prospective clients. With his talent for photography, he was also able to create promotional mailers that showcased photos of our work.

Later, Nick’s wife Anne spent some time working for our company. She helped to create our new website and logo. Among other things, she designed new postcards to advertise All Phase Concrete.

Today, Nicky is our office manager. She is in charge of the bookkeeping, billing, and all other daily office tasks. Nick is now our estimator and is involved in managing the company. Altogether, myself, my wife and stepson, and our wonderful, highly skilled crew members that have been part of our team for many years, make All Phase Concrete a family business.

Together, we will persevere through the tough times, be it a recession, wildfires, or a pandemic.

We work hard maintaining strong partnerships with our contractors. While working with contractors, we excel in fast cost-effective, quality work to allow construction projects to meet their design budgets. I personally manage all projects and want you to know that a great deal of time and effort is put into making our clients satisfied.

We are located in Santa Rosa, California and we serve all of Sonoma, Marin and Napa Counties.
