Bill's home is located in the hills of Sausalito. Bill has beautiful views of San Francisco but... with one problem. br>
Bill had no parking for his cars. The All Phase Concrete team had to excavate over 2000 yards of dirt in order br>
to install a 2-car garage and a lawn on top of the roof. This particular concrete job required many retaining walls br>
in process. There is no hillside project that All Phase Concrete can not do! br>

All Phase Concrete
A pictorial of a concrete job in Sausalito requiring hillside foundations.
A Hillside Retaining Wall Project
Beginning excavation of the hillside below the house in preparation for the footings, foundation and retaining walls.
Excavating on Hillside
Our excavator can be seen on the steep hillside loading some of the 2,000 yards of dirt that had to be removed.
Pouring Concrete Footings
Extensive footings and retaining walls were required on this job. Here, pouring of concrete footings begins.
Pouring of Concrete Walls
A good photo depicting the massive amount of forming necessary to create the concrete walls for the garage.
Concrete Roof
A photo taken from inside the garage illustrating the concrete slab, walls and one foot thick concrete roof!
A Lawn on the Roof!
After the concrete garage was completed, a lawn was planted on top of the roof to increase usable yard space.
Brick Pathway & Retaining Wall
We created a brick pathway leading to the front entrance, flanked by a concrete retaining wall with a wooden shingle facia.
Concrete & Brick Staircase
The steep hillside is evident in this photo of the concrete staircase with brick veneer which leads up to the main level and entryway.
Colored Concrete Driveway
We poured and finished concrete slabs leading up to the garage. A coloring pigment was added to the concrete in this case.
Concrete Garage Completed!
The concrete garage installed on this steep Sausalito hillside is now completed and covered with wood shingles.
A Green Roof!
Another photo taken from a different angle depicting the usable space created on top of the roof with the addition of a lawn.
Wood & Concrete
An additional view of the steep stairs and a nice view of the wood shingles attached to both the concrete garage walls and retaining walls.
